How the Inspection Process Works
The property owner or builder files notice with the local building department, electing Tew & Taylor as private provider. The municipality issues the permit normally.
Contact your dedicated Tew & Taylor coordinator. Inspections are scheduled around your crew's readiness — same-day if needed, not around a municipal calendar.
A licensed inspector visits the site, performs the inspection, and produces a documented report. Failed inspections receive immediate written explanation and re-inspection is scheduled promptly.
Tew & Taylor submits inspection results to the local building department. The municipality is legally required under F.S. §553.791 to accept and process them.
After all inspections are accepted, the local building department issues the CO. Tew & Taylor coordinates the final submittal to ensure a clean close.
Average schedule saved per project
Across 10–12 inspection phases, same-day availability vs. municipal queues of 1–3 weeks recovers weeks of schedule time that translate directly to reduced carry costs and earlier delivery.
